According to Mid Day, several months before the theatrical release of 'Alpha', Netflix had made a huge offer of around Rs 215 crore to release the film directly on OTT. But it is being told that Yash Raj Films (YRF) did not accept this proposal. That is why instead of releasing the film directly on OTT, it was decided to release it in theaters first.
The production house had also dismissed the rumors that 'Alpha' would not be released in theatres. He said that this film has been specially made to be seen on the big screen, hence it will be released in theaters only.
The film 'Alpha' has now been released in theatres. However, Yash Raj Films has not yet officially announced its OTT release date. It is believed that like before, the production house will release the film on OTT only after its theatrical run is completed.
