The resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra were accepted in the meeting of Ram Mandir Trust on Monday. During this meeting, the responsibility of Champat Rai's work has been handed over to Krishna Mohan. Ram Mandir Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri has confirmed this. According to sources, Krishna Mohan will also look after the work of Anil Mishra. In such a situation, people now want to know about Krishna Mohan, why has he been entrusted with this responsibility.
Krishna Mohan did M.Sc. in Geology from Lucknow University in 1970. Got the degree. After this, he joined the Indian Forest Service (Maharashtra Cadre) and served in the department. During his tenure in Maharashtra, he held several important positions, including Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and Conservator of Forests. After retirement in 2012, he returned to Hardoi. After this, he held many responsibilities in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and held positions like Nagar Sanghchalak, District Sanghchalak and Prant Sanghchalak for the Awadh region.
In the donation theft case, an FIR was registered against Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Tinnu Yadav, Manish Yadav and others at Ayodhya Police Station on the complaint of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust member Krishna Mohan. On the instructions of the Uttar Pradesh government, the FIR was registered under sections 306, 316(5), 317(4), 317(5), 61 and 3(5) of the BNC. After this all the eight accused were arrested.
Earlier, considering the seriousness of the Ram Mandir donation theft case, the Uttar Pradesh government had formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Only after the SIT report came out, a case was registered against the accused and they were sent to jail. Besides, Champat Rai and Anil Mishra also had to resign from their posts. Information shows that more than ₹ 200 crore has been embezzled in the Ram Mandir donation theft case.
