In such a situation, legal action can now be taken against Champat and Anil Mishra. There are speculations that both of them will go to jail. Many reasons are being given behind this. It is now believed that Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have misused their position in the Ram Mandir donation theft case. Not only this, it is due to their negligence that such a huge incident of theft of donations has been carried out.
Champat Rai, who was the general secretary of Shri Ram Mandir Trust, has faced many allegations. It is said that Champat Rai has ignored the offering theft case. There was negligence in monitoring system. Kept silence after this incident came to light. Also, there were so many irregularities in the Ram Temple management and why did they not pay attention. Champat also put his close friend Tinnu in charge of the trust's work. Besides, many people were also appointed in the temple on his recommendation. These are such allegations that Champat Rai may get trapped in answering these questions during the investigation in the coming days. In such a situation, it is being said that Champat Rai, who has been thrown out of the trust, can now go to jail also.
The resignation of Anil Mishra, close to Champat Rai and trustee of the temple trust, has also been accepted. But now there are speculations about his going to jail. It is believed that now an FIR is also being lodged against Anil Mishra. Actually, many serious allegations have also been made against Anil Mishra. It is alleged that the Ram Mandir donation theft case has been ignored by Anil Mishra. He appointed many of his close ones in the temple and also provided benefits to them. Apart from this, he also got exemption from security check for his close ones.
On June 4, 2026, evidence of theft of Ram Mandira offerings was found. On June 5, a huge amount of stolen money was recovered. On June 6, the offering thieves confessed to the theft. On June 7, Pawan Pandey made allegations. On June 8, Akhilesh Yadav posted on X and appealed to the court to take cognizance of this matter. Immediately after this, i.e. on June 8, Champat Rai denied stealing the donations. On June 9, Rajneesh Singh wrote a letter to PM Modi demanding investigation from CBI-ED in this matter.
On June 13, after the case of theft of Ram Mandir donation became big, UP government constituted SIT. From June 15 to 20, the SIT team interrogated 100 people during the investigation in the temple premises. Also examined the documents. After the SIT report, an FIR was registered against 8 people on June 25. On June 26, 8 people including Tinnu, close to Champat Rai, were arrested.
On June 26 itself, Champat Rai and Anil Mishra resigned from the trust.
On July 2, the Yogi government of UP extended the time of SIT investigation by 15 days. According to sources, after this, speculations are being made that in this case, those people who used to maintain the donations coming to Ram Temple will now go to jail. In which the names of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra are at the top. In this case, on July 5, the police interrogated 5 accused. Whereas today i.e. on 6th July, the resignations of Champat and Anil Mishra were accepted in the trust meeting.
