Not only the brick-wood-stone cage, but in classical thought ‘home’ is actually a living entity. As much as human destiny is controlled by the cosmic rotation of the planets and stars, the invisible forces hidden within the four walls have far more influence. If the house is not built according to the scriptural norms, then the habitat itself can become a jampuri. Some seemingly small environmental defects can lead to the extreme destruction of the householder, even sudden untimely death! What mistakes should Vastur avoid?
১) In modern housing culture there is a growing trend of building two houses across one wall. But according to Vastum, this joint wall is equivalent to Yamaraj for the future of the householder. So it is imperative to keep some open space around the house and in front of the main entrance. Similarly, if a house is built on the north or east side of a plot, destruction of property is inevitable. According to the scriptures, the house should always be built in the middle of the land or in Brahmasthan.
২) If the dining room is in the center of the house or Brahmasthan, the householder’s life is in extreme conflict. If there is a toilet or lift in this place, family disaster is certain. Again, if the wall on the east side is heavier than the west side, sudden car accidents are created. If there is water on the south side, housewives become chronically ill, oppression of women increases.
৩) If there is a tree like banyan, asvattha or pakur in the fiery corner of the house or in the south-east, the native may experience extreme suffering and even death. A path or a tree directly in front of the main gate is also a form of dvaradosha, which makes the householder suffer from serious diseases. Even making a small pocket door in the middle of the lion door is considered to open the ‘mouth of Yamraj’ according to the scriptures. Also, if the shadow of a temple, mountain or tall structure falls on the house between 10 am and 3 pm, that ‘shadow’ brings downfall to the householder.
৪) Using old wood or materials while building a new house leads to extinction. The ‘Taurus Chakra’ is formed based on the star in which the Sun is placed. If the foundation of the house is destroyed by the inauspicious Nakshatrayoga of this chakra, Agnibhaya and Grihaswami will fall. The most deadly is ‘Rahumukh’. The soil should be dug only after determining the direction based on the position of the Sun sign. If Rahu is afflicted on the face, the householder’s life is in doubt.
