New Zealand MP Paramjit Parmar has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming Auckland visit as important for the bilateral relations between India and New Zealand. He said that Prime Minister Modi’s visit will provide new impetus to the already strong relations between the two countries.
Parmar termed the recent Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and New Zealand as a major achievement. He said that this agreement will strengthen the trade relations between the two countries as well as promote new opportunities, employment and economic cooperation.
Praising India’s economic progress, he said that India has been growing rapidly in the last decade and is making its mark as a global leader in various fields. He also praised India’s technological development and digital public infrastructure.
The New Zealand MP said that the Indian community has made an important contribution to the development of New Zealand and there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people of Indian origin living there about Prime Minister Modi’s visit.
Paramjit Parmar described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an influential global leader and said that New Zealand is eager to welcome him. He expressed hope that the visit will help in opening new areas of cooperation between the two countries.
He also stressed the need for India and New Zealand to work together for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Parmar said that both the countries can further strengthen their relations in future on the basis of shared values and mutual interests.
