National Conference has announced to protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 20, demanding full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. The main demand during this demonstration will be to restore the full statehood of Jammu and Kashmir. For this, the National Conference has sent invitations to famous political parties of the country including Jammu and Kashmir and social and religious personalities to join the protest. However, most of the representatives of Jammu and Kashmir have already distanced themselves from this demonstration. At the same time, the National Conference has alleged that they have not been given permission for this demonstration yet and they are being made to wait for permission.

On Saturday, at an event in Srinagar, the National Conference put pressure on the Center demanding full statehood and gave the example of whether the Center wants the people of Ladakh to protest? CM Omar Abdullah Raising questions on the Centre, he said whether the Center will give statehood to Jammu and Kashmir only when there is a BJP government here, if so then they should say it clearly.

Opposition parties distanced themselves from the demonstration

Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari hinted at not participating in the protest organized by the National Conference, alleging that it is stopping the development of Jammu and Kashmir under the guise of full statehood and the National Conference has been making the excuse of not having statehood behind the problems faced by the people.

National Conference has also invited senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Paul Sharma to participate in this demonstration, but BJP has clearly announced not to participate in this demonstration. Accusing the National Conference, he asked whether BJP leaders will protest with people who are corrupt and murderers.

National Conference has also invited separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to participate in this demonstration, although according to National Conference, he has been invited not in the capacity of a separatist leader, but in the capacity of a famous religious leader and president of Majlis-e-Mutahida Ulema organization, but Mirwaiz Umar Farooq made it clear that this demonstration should not only be for statehood but also for Article 370 and 35A. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will also not participate in this demonstration.
