Przemyslaw Frankowski has hailed his former teammate Victor Osimhen as one of the finest strikers in world football, placing the Nigerian forward in the same class as Erling Haaland and Harry Kane. The Stade Rennais player, who previously shared the dressing room with the Super Eagles striker during their time in Turkey, believes Osimhen’s relentless drive and ambition make him stand out among the world’s elite forwards.

Osimhen joins the league of elite strikers

Osimhen has solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s leading marksmen after a prolific spell in the Super Lig. His former teammate Frankowski, now on loan at Stade Rennais, feels that the Nigerian’s influence on the pitch can be compared with the best in the game.

Frankowski pointed out that the former Napoli star possesses a rare determination and mindset similar to other world-class forwards such as Erling Haaland and Harry Kane. According to the Polish wing-back, Osimhen is easily among the top five strikers in the world, largely because of his consistent mental and physical preparation before every match.

“Osimhen is a world-class striker, perhaps in the top five. His constant readiness for the game and his hunger for goals are truly impressive. I could talk about him endlessly,” Frankowski said in an interview with Onet.

Despite the glowing praise from those who have shared the field with him, Osimhen continues to be a subject of intense speculation in the transfer market. The 31-year-old now aims to translate his club performances into an international recall under coach Jan Urban ahead of Poland’s upcoming Nations League matches in the autumn. After missing several weeks in the spring due to a calf injury, Frankowski reported to Rennes a week early to ensure he reached peak fitness before the season.

He admits that his desire to return to the national team setup is stronger than ever. “I haven’t been part of the national team for some time. That gives me even more motivation to come back and play an important role,” he explained.
