The important meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has ended yesterday, but neither any new appointments were made nor any major decision was taken in this meeting. The issue of appointment of new trustees was on the agenda in the trust meeting, but it was postponed till the next meeting. At the same time, one more month's time was given to the committee formed for the appointment of CEO. There was no discussion on the alleged irregularities in counting of offerings. The Trust clarified that the final report of the SIT has not been received yet, hence no discussion is possible on this issue right now.
The security arrangements of CCTV cameras were reviewed in the process of counting the offerings. Access to all CCTV cameras including the offering counting room was provided to security officials in advance. It was decided to continue the system of checking the quantity and purity of gold and silver offerings. The responsibilities and compliance of the bank under the MOU with State Bank of India were discussed. The Trust expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of the bank and its response to the irregularities that came to light.
The Finance Committee of the Trust was directed to reconsider the relationship and standard procedures with the bank. The committee formed for the selection of the Chief Executive Officer asked for an additional time of one month. Due to the large number of applications, additional time was demanded in the CEO selection process. The Trust approved the appointment of a secretary in view of the possible increasing number of devotees in future.
Due to delay in the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer, the appointment to the post of Secretary was approved. Despite corruption and other allegations, there is no decrease in the number of devotees visiting Ram temple. The Trust said that despite the baseless, false and misleading allegations, the faith and belief of crores of Ram devotees remains unshakable. The Trust Board expressed gratitude towards the Sant Samaj, the devotees coming from India and abroad and the society of Awadh. To maintain communication with the society, the Trust decided to appoint a spokesperson. Information that the process of filling the vacant posts of trustees will take a few more weeks.
The religious committee will be reconstituted to maintain the traditional authenticity and purity of worship in the temple premises. Formation of a religious committee under the chairmanship of Swami Govind Dev Giri. Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Jyotishpeethadhipati Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Madhwapeethadhipati Swami Vishwaprasannatirtha, Swami Dinendradas, Swami Kamalnayandas, Swami Ramanand Das, Mahant Rajkumar Das and Jagatguru Parmanand Maharaj were made members in the committee.
