NTA Action on NEET Paper Leak: Amidst the continuously rising questions regarding the transparency of competitive examinations in the country, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has started a major reform campaign. According to Education Ministry sources, the agency has removed 47 officers from service. Not only this, preparations are also being made to take legal and criminal action against some officials. This is being considered as the beginning of a comprehensive change in the functioning of NTA.
According to sources, this action is not limited to just removing the employees, but is a big step taken towards fixing accountability in the agency and strengthening the examination system. The Education Ministry says that in recent years, paper leaks and examination-related irregularities had raised questions on the credibility of NTA. In such a situation, institutional reform has now become a priority.
According to the ministry, this campaign is part of the complete overhaul of NTA. In the coming days, many other important decisions related to the functioning of the agency, monitoring mechanism and accountability can also be taken. The objective is to make competitive examinations more transparent, fair and reliable and to minimize the possibility of incidents like paper leaks in future.
Experts believe that if reforms are not limited to mere action but are also implemented at the technical and administrative level, it can strengthen the confidence of millions of candidates in the examination system.
