Mango season is about to go, prepare Mango Jam, Chef Kunal Kapoor gives easy recipe

Mango season lasts only for a few days. Preparations for the departure of mangoes begin from July. If you are a mango lover then make mango jam and store it. Children like mango jam very much. You can eat it by applying it on roti, paratha or bread. It is very easy to make mango jam at home. Chef Kunal Kapoor has shared an easy recipe of mango jam. In this recipe, the chef has used both raw and ripe mangoes, which gives both sweetness and sourness. Take a quick note of the recipe of Mango Jam.

Ingredients for making jam

  • 3 cups i.e. about 600 grams ripe mangoes
  • 1 cup i.e. about 200 grams raw mango
  • 3/4 cup sugar (about 150 grams)

Mango Jam Recipe

First step- To make jam, first of all put ripe mango, raw mango and sugar in a blender and blend it until it becomes a smooth paste. It has to be made like a very smooth paste.

Second step- Now put this mixture of mango and sugar in a heavy bottomed pan or pan and cook it on medium flame. Mango may stick to the pan so keep stirring continuously.

Third step- Continue cooking until the mixture thickens and becomes a jam-like consistency. Now keep it to cool. Take a clean glass jar and fill mango jam in it and store it in the refrigerator. Those who are using only ripe mango should add a few drops of lemon to it. This will keep the taste and color of mango jam good. This jam will taste more delicious.

Sweet and sour mango jam is ready, apply it on roti, paratha and bread and eat it. Memories of mango will remain fresh. If you store it well, it will not spoil for many months. This jam can be used by adding it to curd. Use it as a filling in cakes or pastries. This mango jam also tastes good with pancakes or waffles.
