Curran's Contribution Anchors the Chase

While Pooran's striking captured the eye, Sam Curran's innings at the other end was equally important to the result. The MI London captain made an unbeaten 60 from 39 balls, providing the platform from which Pooran could attack. Curran reached his fifty from 34 deliveries and struck cleanly himself when the occasion demanded — a full toss from Potts was launched over wide long on for six as the chase entered its final phase. Carse's Early Burst a Bright Spot for Sunrisers

For Sunrisers, Carse's opening spell was the single most effective passage of play in the match. He dismissed Jacks and Roy in quick succession, applied sustained pressure to Curran and Vince, and finished with figures of 2 for 18 from his 20 deliveries — the most economical return among the Sunrisers bowlers. Ellis also made an impact, removing Vince to finish with 1 for 22.
