Tezzbuzz Desk- Hariyali Teej is considered a very special festival for married women. On this day, women observe a fast and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. The plate decorated during puja also has special significance. If this time instead of buying a ready-made thali from the market, you want to decorate it yourself, then with the help of things present in the house, you can give a very beautiful and traditional look.

Start with a brass or bronze plate

To decorate the plate, first choose the right base. Brass or bronze thali gives a traditional look, whereas even a plain steel thali can be made attractive by decorating it. Before using the plate, clean it thoroughly and make it shine.

Make a beautiful border with flowers

The decoration of flowers in the Hariyali Teej thali looks very beautiful. A border around the plate can be made with marigold, rose or jasmine petals. Planting green leaves with yellow and red flowers will further enhance the decoration.

Make auspicious sign with Roli-Akshat

A small Swastika, Om or any traditional design can be made in the middle of the thali with the help of Roli and Akshat. Highlight it by placing flower petals around it. Instead of keeping the design too big, it would be better to keep it clean and balanced.

Decorate puja items in small bowls

Keep Roli, Akshat, Sindoor, Mauli and other puja items in separate small bowls. Small bowls made of brass or bronze can give a traditional look to the thali. This will keep the puja material organized and the plate will look neat.

Enhance the beauty of the plate with lamps

Place a small clay or brass lamp in the middle of the plate or in any empty area. A round design can be made around the lamp with flower petals. A burning lamp during puja will make the entire thali beautiful.

Give a special touch with green bangles and leaves

Green color is considered to have special significance in Hariyali Teej. Therefore, green bangles, leaves or green colored decorative materials can be used in the decoration of the plate. Create attractive patterns by arranging them systematically on the sides of the plate.

Complete the decoration with sweets and fruits

Ghevar, Malpua, Gujiya or any homemade sweet can be kept for Prasad in the puja plate. Also arrange bananas, apples or other seasonal fruits in a small bowl. Place the sweets and fruits in the plate in such a way that there is enough space for the remaining puja items.

In this way, you can give a beautiful and traditional style to the Hariyali Teej puja thali with simple things present in the house like flowers, bangles, leaves, roli, akshat and small bowls.
