Studying in NLU has become easier, qualifying percentage has been reduced for these courses.

The National Law University (NLU) of Delhi has reduced the eligibility criteria and qualifying percentage of the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET 2025) so that no one can easily get admission to an LLM (1 year) Non-Residential Program and Joint Master / Intellectual Property in LLM (IP) Law and Management (Non-Residential) programs.

AILET 2025: Revised Eligibility Criteria

According to the letter issued by LLU for LLM and IP-Joint Masters / LLM, the minimum eligibility criteria for an LLM (one year) non-residential program is an LLB or equivalent law degree with 50 percent marks. For students belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, and PWD), the minimum qualifying percentage should be 45 percent. Earlier, it was 55 per cent for general category candidates and 50 per cent for reserved categories.

What did the notice say?

The notice said that the minimum eligibility criteria for Joint Masters/Intellectual Property in LLM (IP) Law and Management (Non-Residential) is LLB or equivalent degree from a recognised university with 50 per cent marks. Students from reserved categories should pass the degree with 45 per cent marks. Earlier, the minimum qualifying percentage was 55 per cent for general category and 50 per cent for reserved categories. Announcing the revised criteria, NLU Delhi also said that other eligibility criteria for admission to postgraduate programmes will remain unchanged.

Registration for AILET 2025 has started

The registration process for AILET 2025 has started and will end on November 18. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications for AILET 2025 for BA LLb (Hons), BCom LLb (Hons), LLM and PhD programs at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.

When will the exams be held?

The entrance test for admission to BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons), LLM, IP - Joint Masters / LLM and PhD in Law courses will be held on December 8 in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm.

AILET is a national level law entrance exam conducted every year for the enrollment of candidates in the National Law University of Delhi.
