Fortnite Community Goal free cosmetics: how to earn the free items – but you'll have to be quick
Football September 21, 2024 01:39 AM

Another chance for you to earn free cosmetics has arrived in Fortnite, but you don't have long to get them.

Fortnite’s cosmetic cornering of the gaming market has been one hell of a sight to behold. Chapter 5 Season 4’s massive Marvel-themed Battle Pass has gone down a treat with a bonus Doom secret skin in tow, and with Black Cat and the Iron Spider appearing in the Item Shop, it’s more clear than ever that simple character cosmetic items are what fuels the biggest game on the market.

Players can’t get enough of Epic Games' new items in the title, and they equally find themselves tripping over each other to claim the cosmetics that, every once in a while, become free to claim. The same is true this season, as Fortnite has unveiled a new community drive that will earn players free cosmetics simply for playing the game together as one massive team. It’s a great deal, especially as there is absolutely no cost for getting involved.

Here’s how to join the Fortnite Community Goal and get your free cosmetics.

Fortnite Community Goal free cosmetics: how to unlock

Players can get involved in the Fortnite Community Goal simply by signing up on the Community Goal Fortnite website. By logging into the site, you’ll instantly receive the Ghost Ri-Durrr Banner Icon, and by surviving storm circles in-game, you’ll contribute to the wider goal of the drive. If you’ve survived one storm circle, then it’ll give you access to three cosmetics instantly as all three community milestones have now been met.

Those cosmetics are:

  • Sabretooth Meowscles Banner Icon – Milestone one

  • Condiment Wrath Spray – Milestone two

  • Sweet Dango Back Bling – Milestone three

The other drive is dependent on your contributions to the ongoing goals, which will offer you a badge that serves as a step to your next cosmetic after each three storm circles survives in-game. You’ll need five badges to unlock each new item, starting with the first badge you’ll get for simply signing up. The items are:

  • Ghost Ri-Durrr Banner Icon – Reward for joining

  • Meow! Spray – Collect six badges

  • Star Shower Wrap –Collect 11 badges

These badges mean that you'll need to survive 18 storm circles for the Meow! Spray, and 33 to earn the Star Shower Wrap. If you're going heavy on Fortnite tonight, you might just clutch it.

If you want to get in on this Fortnite community goal and help to get through as many survived storm circles as possible, you have until 12am local time on Saturday, 21 September to get stuck in. Once that’s over, your chance to claim these cosmetics for free will vanish forever!

Make the most of the chance to earn some great new items, and come together with your teammates before you blast them in the face with shotguns to ensure you survive the storms. It seems counter-intuitive, but trust us, it works.
