Fans of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch have shared their go-to method for removing grease and grime from oven trays.

Oven trays are prone to collecting grease and grime over time, especially if you don't wash them after every use.

Removing grease from oven trays often requires lots of scrubbing, soaking and elbow grease. Even after you've given them a good clean, they can still end up covered in unpleasant stains.

One person who was struggling with grease on her oven trays was Karen Steedman. She posted on the group, 'Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips': "Help, please. What can you suggest to clean this baking tray?"

She also shared a picture of her oven tray which was covered in food debris and grease stains.

The post was inundated with responses but the most suggested method was to use a dishwasher tablet.

Kim Nicholles commented on the Facebook post: "Dishwasher tablets."

Jill Flanagan replied: "Fairy Liquid and boiled water and leave to soak! Or if you have dishwasher tablets they are just as good!! Leave overnight for best results."

Tina Cummings commented: "Soak overnight with a dishwasher tablet or two."

People who own dishwashers will likely already have dishwasher tablets at home, however, if you don't, you can buy dishwasher tablets fairly cheaply from local supermarkets.

House 24/7 Dishwasher Tabs from Sainsbury's cost £1.49 for 30 which works out at 5p per tablet. A pack of 42 Astonish All in 1 Dishwasher Tablets costs £3.79 from The Range.

Dishwasher tablets contain enzymes and surfactants which means they're very effective at removing grease and grime.

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using washing up liquid, salt and Elbow Grease.

Tina Chambers said: "Soak it in washing up liquid and water and leave it overnight or as long as you can then see what result you get. Don't scour it as you will ruin it."

Claire L Hepple commented: "Salt! Sprinkle it with salt once damp and leave."

Sally Williams replied: "Elbow Grease spray, leave for a few minutes and wash off."
