Director Tigmanshu Dhulia recently opened up about his experience working with actor Saif Ali Khan on the 2013 film Bullett Raja.

In an interview with Mashable India, Dhulia revealed that the film's shooting schedule was extended from 75 to 102 days due to various factors, including Saif's lack of punctuality.

Despite these challenges, Dhulia described the overall experience as "very good."

Experience

Dhulia told the publication, "The experience was very good. It could have been better if I had more time. The shoot was scheduled for 75 days but it finished in 102 days. I was under a lot of pressure."

He added, "We were shooting during winters so we would get less daylight. Saif wouldn't come on time. Otherwise, the experience was good."

Director's perspective

In the same interview, Dhulia expressed his preference for actors who fully commit to their roles and leave their personal issues behind.

He said, "I want that when an actor works with me, they should be my friend. They should just surrender. They shouldn't come with their baggage, or any kind of arrogance. When they surrender, it is easier."

'Bullett Raja' failed to impress critics and audiences
Film's performance

Bullett Raja, which also starred Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Sheirgill, was a crime film set in Uttar Pradesh. It explored the state's mafia and political nexus.

Despite its star-studded cast, which included Vidyut Jammwal, Chunky Panday, Ravi Kishan, Gulshan Grover, and Raj Babbar in supporting roles, the film was not well-received by critics or audiences.

Dhulia and Saif have not collaborated on any projects since then.
