This is a tasty and simple homemade recipe for pepperoni pizza fries!
Ingredients in the fries: 1.
– One pound of handmade or frozen french fries
– If using fresh fries, one to two tablespoons of olive oil
One cup of marinara sauce (for dipping) is needed for the toppings.
– 1 to 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
– One cup of pepperoni slices
– One teaspoon of optional Italian seasoning
– Optional fresh parsley or basil garnish
2. Guidelines
Step 1: Prepare the Fries: – If using frozen fries, bake them until crispy, following the directions on the box. Cut potatoes into fry shapes, sprinkle with olive oil, and bake at 425 F (220 C) for approximately 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and crispy, turning halfway through. This is if you’re creating your own fries.
Step 2: Add Toppings: Take the fries out of the oven and place them on a large baking sheet that has been parchment papered over.
– Evenly distribute the mozzarella cheese shreds on top of the fries.
– Add sliced pepperoni on top, and if like, sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Step 3: Melt the Cheese: Put the loaded fries back in the oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melted, at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
Step 4: Serve: Take out of the oven and let it cool a little. Warm up and provide marinara sauce for dipping on the side.
– If preferred, garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
