One such case has come to light from Jabalpur where an auto driver has raped a 17 year old minor resident of Bihar. According to the victim, they took her to a deserted place on the pretext of feeding her and raped her. After getting free from the clutches of the accused, the victim reached the police station and informed about the entire matter, after which the police arrested the accused auto driver.
This incident of brutality took place in Panagar police station area, where due to rift in the family, the victim had reached her home in Jabalpur from Bihar without informing her family. This 17 year old minor reached Jabalpur by train without informing her parents and after getting down at the railway station, she reached Municipal Corporation Chowk. Where he met a young man named Anuj Kevat, who drove an auto. Auto driver Anuj Kevat took the minor along with him on the pretext of feeding him food. Meanwhile, when there was no one nearby, the accused auto driver took advantage of the incident and took the minor to a deserted hill in Panagar police station area. Where she was raped.
After being freed from the clutches of accused Anuj Kewat, the victim reached the police while wandering. After reaching Panagar police station, the minor informed about the incident that happened to him. After the complaint of the victim, the police immediately took action and sent the victim to Victoria Hospital for medical checkup. After this, after reaching the place mentioned by the victim, they identified the accused and arrested him. Information about this entire incident was given to the victim's family.
Addition SP Suryakant Sharma says that on the basis of the complaint of the victim, Panagar police has registered a case against auto driver Anuj Kevat under sections of Rape and POCSO Act. The accused has been arrested. Besides, the victim is also being tested. With the help of Bihar Police, the victim's family members were also informed about the incident. After the family members reach Jabalpur, the minor victim will be handed over to her family.
