The lottery games in Meghalaya that are based on archery are called Shillong Teer, Juwai Teer, Khanapara Teer, and Jowai Teer. The state also boasts one of the most traditional and well-established systems, and it just introduced India’s first-ever digital lottery.
Meghalaya is not the only Indian state with a government-run lottery system; twelve other states also have legal lottery systems. However, Meghalaya’s system is unusual in that it completely replaces the lucky draw technique.
Rather, the outcome of Shillong Teer is decided by an archery competition, as the name implies. There are two rounds in every game. Archers aim to strike the target with their arrows in both rounds.
At the Shillong Polo Ground, the KHASI Hills Archery Sports Institute (KHASI), which has 12 partner clubs, is in charge of organizing the tournament.
The quantity of arrows that hit the target with success is tallied at the conclusion of each round. The fortunate number for that round is then determined by this final total.
You must thus attempt to anticipate the number, in this case 63, in order to win a Shillong Teer reward. Anything between 0 and 99 might be the value.
Every Teer game is played six days a week; Sundays are off from activity.
