Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have highlighted priorities after pop superstar misses NFL game

Taylor Swift has been noticeably absent from the last two games of Travis Kelce's with the Kansas City Chiefs, and it seems there's a good reason for that. The pop star is reportedly giving her beau space to concentrate on his season with the team, especially after a rocky start.

Kelce had come under fire after clocking just 69 yards in his first three games, but he bounced back impressively against the Los Angeles Chargers this past weekend. He racked up 90 yards and seven catches, once again proving himself as Patrick Mahomes' go-to option in the Chiefs' victory.

Swift's absence led some to speculate that she was intentionally avoiding drawing extra attention to Kelce, who needed to deliver a strong performance - which he did.

According to a report from Page Six, Swift's no-show gave the high-profile couple a bit of "a break" from the wave of negativity they've both been facing.

Some fans have complained about the intense focus on Swift during Chiefs games, even suggesting it could be to blame for Kelce's less than stellar early-season performances, reports the Mirror US.

However, both stars have demonstrated their commitment to their respective crafts. Kelce is zeroed in on football, while Swift is gearing up for her return to the stage in the coming weeks, as her Era's tour prepares for its final leg in North America.

When queried about their early season performance, both Kelce and Patrick Mahomes expressed confidence about their prospects.

"We're always constantly working to get better here, and that's just always been my focus," declared Kelce. "I think this year, stats may say something different, but at the same time, you still see the same person inside this building, and that's all I really care about. I'm my own worst critic, everything outside of this building is just noise."

Mahomes chimed in with assurance: "I mean, the whole Kelce thing in general... it hasn't been a worry to me. I know whatever we need, he's going to make plays. And that's what he did today."
