Dishes are prepared here during festivals. Khandvi is one of these. It is made from gram flour and eaten for breakfast. Its taste is exactly like Dhokla. Gram flour- 3/4 cup

Curd – 3/4 cup

Ginger paste – 1/4 tsp

Green chilli paste – 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Asafoetida – a pinch

water as required

For breakfast- 3 to 4 curry leaves

Mustard – 1 tsp

Coconut powder – 1 tbsp

green coriander

As needed

salt to taste

Oil – 1 tbsp

1. First of all, add curd, gram flour, ginger paste, green chilli paste, turmeric powder and salt in a vessel and mix well.

2. Leave the microwave to preheat.

3. Now put the gram flour mixture in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for about 5 minutes.

4. Be mindful once in a while. After the stipulated time, take out the bowl from the microwave.

5. Grease a plate or kitchen slip and spread the mixture on it.

6. After 4-5 minutes the mixture will cool down and solidify.

7. Cut the frozen layer into wide strips with a knife.

8. Fold the strips round and make a roll.

9. Now add oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 2 minutes.

10. Apply tadka on khandvi. Gujarati Khandvi is ready. Garnish with coconut powder and green coriander and serve.
