The Tourism Department will create the museum in accordance with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, enabling devotees to virtually experience the Samudra Manthan and get knowledge about Kumbh, Mahakumbh, and other sacred sites.

The tourist industry in Uttar Pradesh is expanding quickly, and Mahakumbh 2025 offers both a problem and an opportunity. On Arail Road Naini, next to Shivalaya Park in Prayagraj, the Tourism Department is constructing the digital museum in an attempt to provide devotees a unique and immersive experience.

With a 10,000-square-meter footprint, the museum can hold 2,000–2,500 people at once. The government has already set aside Rs 6 crore of the project’s anticipated total cost of Rs 21.38 crore.

These data were revealed by Jaiveer Singh, Minister of Tourism and Culture, who emphasized the state’s dedication to increasing religious tourism in the area and improving pilgrims’ spiritual Mahakumbh experience.

The Digital Kumbh Museum will have an exhibit presenting Samudra Manthan’s 14 pearls, as envisioned by CM Yogi. Through digital displays, visitors will be able to learn everything there is to know about the Samudra Manthan.

Additionally, digital displays and other interactive media will be used to display information on numerous Kumbh events, such as Prayagraj Mahakumbh, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain Kumbh, etc. In addition, the museum will include beautifully planted grounds and a tourist admission booth.
