Know what is the story of this temple

There is a mythological story behind this temple. It is said that many years ago there used to be a shepherd named Achharu. Who used to take his buffaloes to the forest for grazing every day. One day suddenly his buffalo got lost somewhere. Achharu searched the entire forest to find the buffalo, but he could not find the buffalo anywhere. Feeling tired, he sat under a tree. There was a well where he sat. Suddenly Mother Goddess appeared from that well and told him the address of his buffalo. Seeing him upset and tired, he also advised him to drink water from the pond.

Achchru was drinking water when his stick fell into the pond and went inside the water. Without the stick he reached the place told by his mother. There he was surprised to see his stick and buffalo. After this, Achharu started going to that pond daily and worshiping. Since then people's faith got attached to the goddess of the pond.

It is said that during Navratri, lakhs of devotees come here to see the special sight of Achharu Maa. Achharu's family members have been worshiping in this temple for years. It is said that there is always water in this pond and it never dries up. Even though there is shortage of water in the area, the pond remains full.
