They were granted bail on bonds of Rs 1 lakh apiece by Special Judge Vishal Gogne, who also pointed out that they hadn’t been detained while the matter was being investigated. The Rouse Avenue Court further ordered the three defendants to turn in their passports.

Tejashwi Yadav said, “They keep indulging in political conspiracy,” after receiving bail. They employ agencies improperly. In this instance, there is nothing tangible. We are guaranteed to win…

What is the situation?

The case concerns Group-D appointments made in the West Central Zone of the railways, which is based in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, between 2004 and 2009, when Lalu Yadav was the railway minister. The recruits gifted or transferred land parcels in the name of the RJD supremo’s associates or family, according to the ED.

Notably, on March 7, regular bail was granted to Misa Bharti, Heema Yadav, Hridayananda Chaudhary, and Rabri Devi in the ED case.

On January 9, the ED filed the first charge sheet in this matter after apprehending Amit Katyal, a close aide to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. The Delhi High Court granted bail to Amit Katyal on Tuesday.

Additionally, the CBI had filed a case against Yadav and his family, which included Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar. On October 4, 2023, nevertheless, the court granted them bail.
