Dearness allowance is to be increased for July 2024. By June, the AICPI index has reached 141.4. On its calculation, the total increase in DA is believed to be 3 percent. DA will increase to 53 percent. Now if we calculate DA on a basic of Rs 56,900, then the total dearness allowance along with salary in the account of central employees will be Rs 30,157. 56,900*53/100=30,157 rupees. If seen on an annual basis, it becomes 30,157*12= 3,61,884 rupees. However, dearness allowance is revised every six months. Therefore, this annual calculation has been calculated only for estimation.

More than 1 crore employees-pensioners will benefit

More than 50 lakh central employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners will benefit from the 3 percent increase in dearness allowance. It will be implemented from July 1, 2024.
