October 7, New Delhi During the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ awareness drive, a student named Shrishti Parihar was appointed District Magistrate (DM) in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh (UP) on Monday.

Shrishti was granted permission to take on the role of the DM for a day as part of the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ awareness campaign, per the directive of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

At the DM’s office, she assumed leadership roles by listening to public complaints and giving orders for their settlement. This program is a component of the district administration’s continuous efforts to uplift girls’ spirits and motivate them to prioritize their education.

With joy in her voice, Shrishti said, “I am really grateful for this chance. In the future, I want to hold this job.” She also exhorted the kids to concentrate on their academics and avoid pointless hobbies.

During the course of her workday, Shrishti successfully settled a land dispute between two ladies.

“We are giving youth the chance to experience real work at such important positions under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign,” said DM Avanish Kumar Rai, applauding the effort. It’s wonderful to witness the new outlook that the younger generation offers. They will learn a great deal from this experience, and when someone approaches an issue from a fresh angle, novel solutions may emerge. I urge the younger generation to become involved wholeheartedly.”

The ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ initiative was introduced in Panipat, Haryana, on January 22, 2015.

The Ministries of Women and Child Development, Health and Family Welfare, and Human Resource Development are working together on this tri-ministerial project.

To raise awareness and encourage support for the problem, the scheme’s deployment was originally limited to 100 districts with low CSR.

Later, the plan was carried out under the general direction and control of the District Magistrates and Deputy Commissioners in question.
