Elections were held in three phases for 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. For the first time after the removal of Article 370, there was 63.45 percent voting in the assembly elections. Bishnah seat comes in Jammu region. There were 92 thousand 694 voters on this seat in the assembly elections-2014. 70 thousand 587 votes were cast in this. National Conference's Kamal Verma had won this seat. BJP had fielded Ashwini Kumar Sharma, who stood second.
