Police has busted such a gang and arrested a young man who has married four women through a matrimonial website. This gang used to contact the family and cheat the girl's family in exchange for the bride. This gang used to claim jobs in top institutions like ISRO and then cheat the families. So far this gang has cheated many families of Rs 1.50 crore. 

According to the police, Anil Babu, a native of Venkatgiri Mandal in Nellore district, is now living in Madhira in Khammam district. He registered himself on the Telugu Bharat matrimonial website with the name Kalyan and when he did not get any response, he changed his name to Kalyan Reddy. He used to call the bride's family and introduce himself as the groom's father. The accused Anil Babu used to tell the bride's family that he and his wife are working in ISRO. Along with this, his son is also in ISRO. 

Anil Babu, who claimed to be the groom, also said he had 100 acres of agricultural land and two villas. He also told the bride that he did not want dowry and promised to get her a job. He demanded a huge amount in return. He ensured that the payment be deposited in some other account instead of his personal bank account. He rented a villa in Bangalore and a farmhouse in Chevella on the outskirts of Hyderabad and introduced her to his fake parents there. 

Apart from the parents, the accused also employed a personal PA, two bouncers, and a watchman. Meanwhile, he approached a family in Gundugolanu in Bhimadole mandal of Eluru district. He said that he would marry one of their daughters, Gunda Lakshmi Kumari, and get their other daughter a job in ISRO. In the process, he duped the family of Rs 9.53 lakh. He, along with another accused Thunga Shashank, also got a fake interview letter issued. 

The police arrested him and recovered Rs 22 lakh in cash, 13 SIM cards, a car, a computer used in making fake appointment orders, five mobile laptops, bank passbooks, cheque books, etc from him.
