Age gap aren't anything new, but one couple's differences in age mean people mistake them for mother and daughter rather than lovers.

It was only when she reached the age of 33 that Olivia Reed realised she was into women. Previously only ever with men, it was 'love at first sight' when she first met her now-wife Kelly, but people confuse them as mother and daughter due to their 20-year

Olivia, 34, and Kelly, 54, tied the knot just three months after meeting on the Bumble and have managed to put their differences in age aside despite people questioning their relationship.

It was only when Olivia came out of a six year relationship with a man she started to notice she had feelings for women, and matched with Kelly who is two decades older than her. The 34-year-old teacher from Frederick, Maryland, USA, said: "We were at a couple of stores and the checkout people were like, 'Oh, is that your daughter?'

"I think when people see two women out together, maybe we'll be at a restaurant or something, and people will just look at us sometimes." The couple instantly hit it off and planned a three-day date despite living a whopping seven and a half hours apart and acted quickly to take their relationship to the next level, marrying after just three months of dating.

Despite neither of them being 'risk takers' they said it was 'love at first sight' and just knew they wanted to get married. But it hasn't been easy for the pair who have had to work through some notable differences from their age gap - including Kelly's lack of knowledge of .

Olivia explained: "I previously, I had only dated men, and I actually got out of a six-year relationship with a man, and I had a feeling that I liked women, so I decided to explore that. And so, I downloaded a couple apps, one of which was Bumble, and that's how I met Kelly, but she lives like eight hours away from me.

"I started thinking I didn't want to go the rest of my life without knowing if I felt that way. And then we just happened to break up. So it wasn't that, wasn't the impetus, but it just happened in that that way. And so, because he and I had ended our relationship, I was like, 'Oh, now is the time'."

While they are both in full agreement that they have no plans for kids, the couple would love to take their relationship to the next level as they're searching to purchase a house; whilst also having aspirations to travel together. They also regularly share updates of their lives on TikTok, and finding other couples in similar scenarios.
