supportive father has opened up about the former Love Island star's struggles on .

Over the weekend, the blonde bombshell performed the tango with her professional dance partner to the hit song Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine.

Their impressive routine scored them 34 out of a possible 40 on the dance competition, but the reality star admitted that she found it difficult to find the "tango energy".

Thankfully, the dancing duo soared their way through to next week, where they will be inhabiting a spooky character or villain for Halloween week.

Ahead of their impressive performance, her father Tarek took to social media to share the star's difficulty with the sizzling routine online.

Sharing how proud he was of her on the night, he gushed: "I had another lovely night last night with the pro team, production, and celebs. Tasha & Aljaz (of course), Shayne, Nancy, Montel, Sam, Neal, Chris, Dianne, Wynne and his girlfriend Janette.

"Good to catch up with Tash and check in on her - she has struggled a lot learning the Tango this week with Aljaz is a hard task to master in pursuit of perfection."

He added: "I spent an hour or so chatting to Chris as we didn't get a proper chance last time - a great man.

"I'm in the studio tonight watching with Andrew (Tasha's boyfriend) and I'll try not to cry this time [two cry-laughing emojis] Keeeepp dancing!"

And it appears as though Tarek wasn't the only one concerned for the TV favourite, as fans slammed the judges for their harsh criticisms on the night.

Taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - one user penned: "Tasha looks really sad this week???" as another added: "Didn't like the music with that really.

"Put me off it from the off. Felt a bit more of a disconnect between Tasha and the dance too." A third argued: "I think the judges are being too hard on Tasha."

Fans will have to stay tuned to see how the blonde beauty will fare over the Halloween weekend.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays from 6.20pm on BBC One or catch up on BBC iPlayer.
