By October 24, a low-pressure system that emerged on Tuesday over the northern Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea is predicted to make its way to the shores of Odisha and West Bengal, potentially altering the weather in Bihar. From October 24 to 27, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts mild to moderate rain throughout the majority of Bihar.
On October 24, a yellow notice has been issued for various districts, including Patna, warning of severe winds reaching 30 to 40 kmph. In some places, thunderstorms with lightning and light rain are also anticipated. However, the IMD predicts that during the following 24 hours, the state will likely have dry weather with cloud movement.
Light rain is expected in a few isolated locations in the southern regions of Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, and Khagaria, as well as in the northeastern districts of Kishanganj, Purnia, and Katihar. Sikta in West Champaran had 15.6 mm of rain on Monday, while Dumri in Shivhar received 11.6 mm. Rainfall varied in other places as well, such as Taraini, Gaunaha, and Sitamarhi.
Bihar’s daytime and nighttime temperatures are predicted to gradually decline due to dry westerly winds. The maximum temperature on Monday dropped in 13 districts, including Patna, with the highest recorded in Khagaria at 35.4 degrees Celsius and Patna at 32.8 degrees.
