Amidst the assembly election campaign in Maharashtra, cash scandal is once again echoing in the politics of the state with the recovery of about Rs 5 crore from a car in Khed Shivpur taluka of Pune Rural. The car from which the money was recovered was going from Pune towards Kolhapur. After the election announcement, when the police stopped the car during routine checking, about Rs 5 crore was recovered from it.

During initial interrogation the car rider could not tell the source of the money. From where did he get the money, where and why was he taking it, the driver could not give any information during interrogation. The money found in the car has been confiscated. Rajgarh police has also detained 4 people in this case.

Police suspect that this money was being delivered to be used illegally in elections. Counting of the recovered money started around 8 pm last night and continued till 4 am. It is being said that the car is registered in the name of Amol Nalwade.

The situation regarding whose car is not clear yet

According to sources, Amol Nalwade is related to Sangola Assembly MLA Shahaji Bapu Patil, who belongs to the Shinde group, but after some time Amol Nalwade claimed that he had sold this car to Balasaheb Asbe. Till now the agencies are investigating this matter from all angles.

As soon as the news of Pune cash scandal came in the media, Sanjay Raut was the first to come forward. He claimed that two vehicles were seized in Pune yesterday. It contained approximately Rs 15 crore. Raut alleged that I had already said that Eknath Shinde has once again made arrangements to give Rs 50-50 crore to his people.

He said that the first installment of Rs 15 crore was going to the people to win the elections. Raut clearly pointed the finger at the Sangola MLA in this. Raut said that now Rs 5 crore has been accounted for, but Rs 10 crore has been left out. The account of Rs 5 crore has been shown. There were two vehicles, people of the same MLA were in the vehicle. A call came and one vehicle was abandoned.

Shiv Sena UBT said – money was going to MLAs

Shiv Sena UBT leader claimed that the MLA has sent the inspector to the toll post and got the vehicle released, but Rs 5 crore has been confiscated. The remaining money has reached about 150 MLAs of the state. Later the remaining money will also be distributed. He said that this is an example of how money is being distributed in the state by the Chief Minister or Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. The Rs 5 crore that has been handed over is not a small amount.

Raut said – the money will be used for police protection

Raut has further claimed that Rs 15 crore each has been delivered to many areas of the state in this manner. Soon people are going to get money and it will be used for police protection. A call came from the Chief Minister's bungalow and an attempt was made to hush up the entire matter. We have complete evidence for that. He will appear soon. He asked whose car it was, someone must be the owner of the car? The Panchnama of the vehicle must have been done?

After Shiv Sena UBT, NCP Sharad Pawar faction also made a post on social media regarding the seized money. Party leader and MLA Rohit Pawar said that there is talk of giving Rs 25-25 crore to the candidates of the ruling party as the first installment of the elections. One of these vehicles was caught yesterday in the mountain bush of Khed Shivapur (MLA Shahaji Patil). Where are the remaining 4 vehicles?

There are differences in the statements of Raut and Rohit Pawar also.

It is surprising that there are differences in the statements given by Rohit Pawar and Sanjay Raut regarding money. Raut claimed Rs 15 crore while Rohit Pawar claimed Rs 25 crore each. Raut mentioned two vehicles while Rohit mentioned four vehicles. Different speculations are being made regarding the statements of both the leaders.

At the same time, NCP Sharad faction leader Jitendra Ahwad came up with a new theory. According to him, there were Rs 17 crores and Rs 5 crores were recovered, so where did the rest go? He said that it simply means that like in 2019, the government officials are doing the work of distributing the money. It is a big secret as to how the money was captured. Government vehicles are used to send money.

Attacking the Mahayuti, Jitendra Ahwad said that Rs 80-100 crore was spent on one parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha elections, even after this there was no success. People can be bought with money, this is your illusion.

Ajit Pawar hit back at the allegations

After the allegations against the government, Ajit Pawar also gave a strong statement in the Pune cash case. He attacked the entire opposition including Raut. Deputy CM said that investigate the matter, some people make allegations without evidence. Check and you will find out that milk will turn into milk and water into water.

Shiv Sena leader and spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam said that Rs 5 crore was seized in a vehicle in Pune. MVM leaders are spreading false propaganda. The money that has been handed over has nothing to do with Shiv Sena or Mahayuti. I also openly challenge you regarding this. Maharashtra Police and Election Commission should investigate this matter and bring the truth before the public.

However, investigation is underway as to whose money it is and where it was being taken. Election officials and police have also given information to IT in this matter so that the source of the money can be ascertained.
