However, the Mac Mini is expected to get a major change, reducing its size to make it Apple's smallest desktop computer ever. The new Mac Mini will be the size of an Apple TV, with a compact and space-efficient form factor. The M4 processor upgrade will add performance to the Mac lineup. While the MacBook Pro and iMac will come with their old design, the Mac Mini will offer a new option for those who value compact design and powerful processing. The upcoming entry-level M4 Mac is expected to have an upgraded RAM of 16GB instead of 8GB. This will provide better performance for Apple Intelligence features.
When will the new MacBook Air M4 arrive?
According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to launch a new MacBook Air device with the latest M4 chip in early 2025. Production of the updated model is expected to begin soon, with the launch likely to take place between January and March next year. The previous MacBook Air was introduced with the M3 chip in March 2023 and Apple also introduced an M2 chip based 15-inch variant in June 2023.
