LPG Scheme: Huge good news for common people.. Cooking gas cylinder for Rs.450!
The central government provides subsidized cooking gas cylinders to the poor. Some states have also started special schemes for this. Gas cylinders are provided free or subsidized to eligible people. Another state has recently joined this list.
The government of Rajasthan has come up with a new scheme to provide low-cost cooking gas to poor families under the National Food Security Scheme (NFSA). Through this LPG gas cylinder will be provided to people for only Rs.450k. With the help of this scheme, the financial burden on the families will be reduced.
How to register? : First, go to the nearest ration shop. Carry an Aadhaar card, e-KYC documents for all family members, LPG gas connection diary or bill.
The staff there will link the Aadhaar numbers with the help of a POS (Point of Sale) machine and complete the e-KYC. LPG ID is connected to each family member. Only those families who complete this seeding process will get subsidized gas cylinders for Rs.450. The ration will also be distributed only to them.
The scheme is available to all NFSA beneficiary families. The government has made it clear that this seeding process is mandatory for every family who wants to avail of the subsidy benefit. By providing LPG cylinders on a subsidized basis, the state government aims to contribute to low-income groups, and disadvantaged families, especially rural and semi-urban areas.
On the other hand, the prices of 19 kg gas cylinders used for hotels, restaurants and other commercial purposes have increased again since the beginning of this month. Oil marketing companies have announced that they will increase the price of these cylinders by Rs.62 from November 1. The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder in the national capital Delhi has reached Rs.1,802. The price of a 5 kg FTL cylinder has also been increased by Rs.15. However, oil companies revealed that there is no change in the price of a 14.2 kg cylinder (Rs. 803) used for household purposes.
