If you also use Instagram then there is good news for you. Instagram has launched a new feature that is meant to make it easier for creators to interact with other creators and businesses. Under this feature, creators will now be able to sort and filter the message requests they receive from other people in direct messages (DMs) based on the type of account, so that they do not have to scroll through all the messages.
Sorting message requests in DMs
In a video, Instagram head Adam Mosseri confirmed the rollout of sorting and filtering features in DMs for creators. Creators can now sort message requests into two categories, based on recent messages and the number of followers. If they only want to see message requests received from specific types of accounts, Instagram has also introduced filtering options for this.
Now creators can see message requests in DMs such as only from verified accounts, businesses, other creators, or subscribers. According to Mosseri, the feature can help creators “easily find messages you don’t want to miss.”
