Coach Gholamreza Mazandarani of U Mumba praised young player Ajit Chavan for his outstanding performance against Patna Pirates in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).
The U Mumba has been one of the most successful teams in PKL Season 11, and young player Ajit Chavan has been one of the team’s top players so far.
At the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Ajit recently gave his squad an outstanding performance in a hotly fought victory over the Patna Pirates.
With 19 points from Ajit Chavan, U Mumba won for the fourth time this season. “Anytime your team wins, you will be happy for sure,” coach Gholamreza Mazandarani said in reflection, as cited in a PKL news release. “The game against the Pittsburgh Pirates was also a very close one.” One of our team’s greatest young players is Ajit, and I’m thrilled to see him doing well. I think he may become a major star in the future since he is gradually improving with each game.
“We have worked hard in training and improved certain skills, and Ajit used that in the game, and then he understood that a little change has helped him improve a lot, and the result of that can be a big difference,” Mazandarani said.
Ajit’s raiding has been particularly impressive, and he has given the U Mumba team some vital points that might change the outcome of the match. Ajit has scored 39 points and played freely in 7 games so far in PKL Season 11.
Ajit spoke on his behind-the-scenes preparation with the coach and the team’s leadership group, saying, “The coach has always helped me and helped fix the mistakes in my game.” Additionally, my captain, Sunil Kumar, has consistently urged me to play freely, claiming that doing so would enable me to score more points.
When U Mumba travels to Noida for their next match against the UP Yoddhas on Sunday, they will be eager to build on their momentum and strong play from the Hyderabad leg of PKL Season 11.
“The process of progress is a long one, and we, as a team, are in the middle of the journey,” coach Gholamreza Mazandarani said, discussing the U Mumba squad’s progress so far this season. Additionally, I think the team’s young players are doing well and will continue to do so in the future. They are gradually gaining the most knowledge possible about the game, and the more players understand, the better they will grow as time goes on.”
