Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that school education is fruitful only when it is used for the society. He said that if someone does not know how to use education then it is of no particular benefit to him. There are many examples of great people who showed important direction to the society despite not having received education in school.
Addressing a gathering of Sangh workers after inaugurating the building of Shersingh Karki Saraswati Vihar in Muwani, Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, Bhagwat stressed that the aim of education received in schools and colleges should be to use it for the betterment of the society. .
He said that every individual should promote the Vidya Bharati model of education which provides education not only for the betterment of him or his family but for the betterment of the entire society. Only values strengthen the society and society itself is supreme.
The Sangh chief further said that any government in the world can provide only 10 percent jobs to the youth, while the rest of the people's jobs or businesses are created by the strength of the society. Our state has been prosperous in the past and will remain so in the future also with the strength of the society. It is society that teaches us how to live a purposeful life.
The RSS chief further said that Uttarakhand is a Tapobhoomi. Where, thousands of sages keep doing penance throughout the year, but the fruits of their penance always enlighten other people living around. The Sangh chief is on a tour of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and he reached Pithoragarh from Champawat on Saturday night.
