Manipur: Assam Rifles and Manipur Police conducted a combined operation on Sunday in the Senapati district of Manipur, recovering 578 grams of heroin valued at about Rs 2.31 crore from the foreign market. This was a significant narcotics haul, according to authorities.
An official statement claims that the operation, which was carried out on NH-02 in the Senapati district between Tadubi and Mao Gate, was supported by reliable information.
According to HQ IGAR (East), the troops were able to effectively capture the contraband in Marty’s Park, Mao Gate, on the National Highway.
The Mao Police Station has received the confiscated heroin, the car, and the person involved for further examination.
at a major development, on November 17, 24th, 578 grams of heroin worth over Rs 2.31 crores were recovered at the International Market as a result of a combined operation by the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police from Mao Gate. The announcement said that the operation was conducted on NH-02 in the Senapati district of Manipur, between Tadubi and Mao Gate route.
“The troops carried out the well-planned operation and successfully seized contraband after acting on reliable information. Heroin near the National Highway’s Mao Gate, Marty’s Park. Authorities at the Mao police station received the confiscated heroin, car, and person for further examination and appropriate action,” the statement said.
