India batter Cheteshwar Pujara will be seen in action in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar series despite not getting selected in the Indian squad for the 5 Australia Tests.
However, rather than playing on the field, Pujara will be seen in the commentary box behind a microphone. Pujara will be contributing his insights to the Hindi commentary panel during the much-anticipated Test series.
Earlier, fans weren’t quite happy with an experienced batter like Pujara not getting selected for the all-important Test series against Australia despite his brilliant form in domestic cricket. Many felt that the batter should’ve been given a chance especially after looking at his fabulous record in Australia.
Recently, Pujara’s name again made the headlines after Shubman Gill was sidelined from the first Test due to injury. There have been growing demands for Pujara’s inclusion in the Indian setup for the series, however that doesn’t look like happening as Pujara will rather be seen sharing his expertise while sitting in the commentary box.
