The number of domestic air passengers in the country has set a new record. A total of 505412 domestic passengers traveled by air in India within a day. This is the first time that the number of domestic air passengers crossed the 5 lakh mark in a day. There was a gathering of incoming and outgoing passengers at various airports in the country yesterday. An increase has been recorded in the number of passengers arriving at airports and taking off from airports.

A total of 505412 domestic passengers traveled in a single day yesterday i.e. on 17th November at airports located in different states of India, which breaks all the previous records. Yesterday, a total of 3173 domestic flights took off and 3164 domestic flights arrived at the airports, in which a total of 502198 passengers arrived and 505412 passengers departed towards their destination. At the same time, a total of 6337 domestic flights arrived and departed in the country. This is the first time that so many people have traveled by air together in the country. This also reflects the increasing demand for air travel in the country.

The number has increased since Diwali

There has been an increase in the number of people traveling by air daily since Diwali. There has been an increase in the number of air passengers for school holidays and weddings in the month of November. There has been a continuous surge in air traffic in the last two weeks, where 4.9 lakh passengers traveled by air on November 8, after which there has been a continuous increase in the number of air travelers.

On November 9, a total of 4.96 lakh passengers traveled from all airlines across the country. Whereas, on 14, 15 and 16 November, 4.97 lakh, 4.99 lakh and 4.98 lakh passengers had traveled. The records of all these journeys were broken on 17 November. The increase in air traffic at this time is good news for many airlines of the country. Not only aviation companies will benefit from this. Rather, its positive impact will be visible in the country's economy as well.
