Police stated on Monday that a 12-year-old child in the Arwal district of Bihar suffered serious eye damage after he was reportedly hit by his instructor for not doing his schoolwork. On November 13, a class 5 youngster named Amit Raj was attacked with a stick at a private school in Umairabad.
Police opened a probe after the boy’s family filed a complaint against the instructor and the school administration. The inquiry is still underway, according to Arwal Superintendent of Police Rajendra Kumar Bheel, who also said that the case concerns injuring the pupil.
According to Amit, who is now undergoing treatment at a Patna hospital, “I told my parents after the incident, and they immediately took me to the hospital.” According to family relatives, the damage was severe and needed specialized attention.
In a different case, a fast-track court in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday fined a tuition instructor Rs 58,000 and sentenced him to three years in jail for abusing a 7-year-old pupil in 2018. The psychological effects of such abuse and the betrayal of confidence in the teacher-student relationship were emphasized by the court.
In one instance, the boy’s father saw CCTV evidence of the assault after the youngster showed signs of anguish and terror. The pupil was arrested and found guilty after the instructor allegedly threatened to abduct them.
