Telangana: Nearly 50 percent left Group-III recruitment exam

Hyderabad�हैदराबाद: Nearly 50 per cent of the candidates did not participate in the Group-III Services Recruitment Examination held across the state on Sunday and Monday. A total of 536400 candidates registered for the exam, 76.4 per cent downloaded the hall tickets and 269483 (50.24 per cent) candidates appeared for the Paper-III exam held on Monday. Paper-III Economy and Development exam was conducted at 1401 centers across the state. In Paper-III, questions were asked on HYDRAA, Agricultural Loan Waiver, Griha Jyoti, Skill University and Indiramma Housing Scheme.

According to students who appeared in the exam, most of the questions were from Union and Telangana Government Budget, National Economic Survey, Telangana Socio-Economic Outlook, Census 2011 and National Family Health Survey. Most of the questions were data based, with some questions asked from data from 2004 and 2011, said Sharat, a candidate. He said that overall, the exam was moderate in difficulty level.
