Police has arrested Shekhar Shukla, resident of Kalyanpur. Police have registered a case against Shekhar Shukla under the sections of kidnapping and abetment of suicide. According to the information received from the police, the love affair between the two was going on for one and a half years.

According to the information received from the police, the student died in Prayagraj, after which Shekhar took the girl's body in his car and threw it in Jalaun district. The girl was a resident of Banda, so her missing report was registered there. In such a situation, the police said that the story of missing student Sonali Chandel is related to three districts. Police said that student Sonali was preparing for banking while staying in Prayagraj.

When was the girl's body found?

Police said that according to the information received from Sonali's family, she had left home from the bus stop on October 18 in the afternoon to take the bus to Prayagraj. Her body was recovered by the Orai police of Jalaun district on October 22. However, since the body could not be identified, post-mortem was conducted after 72 hours and later the matter went cold.

According to the information, Sonali's father lodged a missing report at Banda Police Station on November 10, after which the matter became heated. In such a situation, during the investigation, the police found evidence from the CDR of the student's mobile number that she had a conversation with Shekhar Shukla, a resident of Kalyanpur, Kanpur. In such a situation, the police arrested Shekhar and interrogated him and then the matter came to light. During interrogation, Shekhar told the police that the girl had called him to Prayagraj to meet him, but he had refused to meet her. In such a situation, Sonali had threatened to kill him.

Girl was pressurizing for marriage

Shekhar told that he got scared due to the threat of the girl and went to Prayagraj, but when he reached her room, Sonali's body was hanging. Due to fear of getting trapped, Shekhan removed the girl's body from the noose, put it in the car and threw it in the bushes on the Jhansi-Kanpur highway, about 300 km away. Shekhar told the police that the girl was pressurizing him to marry her. In such a situation, the young man had reduced his meeting and talking to her and being angry with this, Sonali was threatening him with death.
