During the entire election campaign, along with the common people, many big Hollywood stars were also seen talking openly about their political likes and dislikes. But this is rarely seen in India. In our country, big film stars avoid talking about politics. When asked about this, Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar have answered openly.
Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar had arrived together at the recently held HT conference. When both of them were asked, citing Hollywood stars, why Bollywood stars avoid talking about politics or taking sides or opposing anyone, Akshay Kumar said, “Things are very different in Hollywood. Elections were just held there. He was talking about how good Harris is, how good Donald Trump is. “Some were talking about how bad he was.”
Akshay said, “I always believe that if someone is doing good work then you should appreciate it. I have done the same there. Whether you call it diplomatic or not. If someone has done something wrong, I don't want to talk about it. I just go with the person who has done well. I have supported him and I have always been vocal about it. Have always talked about him. There is nothing wrong in this.”
Justifying Akshay Kumar's point, Ajay Devgan said, “If we feel that someone is doing good work. So let's talk about this. If someone is not doing well then we somehow avoid talking about it so that we do not let anyone down. “Maybe we want to do this, but I think our country is also not ready for this yet.”
While referring to social media, Ajay said that now everyone has their own opinion. He said, “As you were talking about the US. People accept the truth and they understand your point of view. Whether they like it or not…we are not asking anyone to support our opinion. We have our own opinion. It's yours. This social media madness is a bit new for our country. “We are still growing with it.”
During this, Ajay Devgan expressed hope that a time will come when we will be able to talk openly. People will understand and accept the opinion. However, he said that it will take some time for such a time to arrive. He said that social media expects that people like us have no opinions. He said that this creates problems somewhere.
