Honda is quite a bit behind on the electric race but it looks like they are going big on the whole EV thing. They have teased two of their 0 series vehicles which they are planning to showcase at CES which will happen in Las Vegas convention centre. For those who are living under a rock and don’t know, CES is one of the largest tech events of the year and is a place to showcase the latest and greatest in technological advancements.
Unlike the Saloon which was showcased last year and looked far from a production vehicle, Honda is also going to showcase a SUV which looks like a more feasible product which could really be fit to be rolled out in 2026. The defining feature of the vehicle is the rear LED lightbar which is in a U-shape but expands the length of the car. The other vehicle which appears in the teaser looks very much similar to the saloon concept.
While these two vehicles are going to be the centre stage of the CES show for Honda, they will also showcase a new proprietary vehicle operating system which is going to be used in their future EVs. Other things include autonomous driving tech and they will also showcase System on Chip (SoC) of the underpinnings of the new 0 series vehicles. This will completely round up Honda’s Software Defined Vehicles.
Last year, Honda also showcased their game plan for their future EV lineup. They are planning to get an entry level SUV as well as a mid-size SUV along with a saloon in 2026. In 2027, they plan to launch a large 3-row SUV followed by a compact SUV in 2028, another small size SUV in 2029 followed by a compact sedan by the year 2030. This will tie up their lineup with 7 vehicles by the end of this decade
