The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) is making impressive progress in establishing safe and welcoming workplaces for women in its industrial districts, in keeping with the Center’s “Nari Shakti Mission,” which is devoted to women’s empowerment.

The “Nari Shakti Mission,” which seeks to empower women via political involvement, work, education, health, and safety, is essential to the country’s socioeconomic progress. It focuses on putting into practice sensible rules and regulations to stop violence and support girls’ education, self-sufficiency, and business. With a number of programs, UPSIDA is actively advancing this goal. UPSIDA is dedicated to encouraging women entrepreneurs and creating new job possibilities.

In the fiscal year 2024–2025, UPSIDA made a major move by distributing 45 industrial plots to female entrepreneurs via e-auctions and the Nivesh Mitra portal as part of the federal government’s ambitious “Mission Shakti” initiative. These plots will help construct a variety of companies, such as plastic manufacture, clothing accessories, and steel fabrication, which will support Uttar Pradesh’s industrial development and the economic empowerment of women.
