South Central Railway (SCR) will operate Maha Kumbh Mela special trains between a number of locations in order to handle the additional traffic during the 2025 event.
Starting on January 19, train number 07711 (Moula Ali–Gaya) will leave Moula Ali at 7:45 p.m. and arrive in Gaya at 7 a.m. Train number 07729 (Gaya-Moula Ali) is scheduled to leave Gaya at 5:50 p.m. and reach Moula Ali at 9 p.m. on January 21. In both directions, these special trains will make stops at the following stations: Jangaon, Kazipet, Peddapalli, Ramagundam, Mancherial, Bellampalli, Sirpur Kaghaz Nagar, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt Deendayal Upadhay Jn, Chandauli Majhwar, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Dehri on Sone, and Anugraha Narayan Road.
Beginning on January 19, train number 07725 (Kacheguda–Patna) will leave Kacheguda at 4:45 p.m. and arrive in Gaya at 10:30 a.m. Train number 07726 (Patna–Kacheguda) will start its trip on January 24 and leave Patna at 11:30 am, arriving in Kacheguda at 7 am.
In both directions, these special trains will make stops at the following stations: Bolarum, Medchal, Kamareddi, Nizamabad Basar, Dharmabad, Umri, Mudkhed, Nanded, Purna, Basmat, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Malkapur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyayaya Jn, Buxar, Ara, and Danapur. There will be sleeper, general second-class, 2A, and 3A coaches on all of these special trains.
