If you give oats to children to eat, it is certain that they will definitely make faces. But if you make them tasty idli from it, they will ask you for it again and again for breakfast. Oat Idli is very rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins. Besides, it also contains Omega 3.
Oats – 2 cups
Mustard – 1 tablespoon
Curd- 1 cup
Chana dal – 1/2 tablespoon
Urad dal- 1 tablespoon
Oil – 1/2 tbsp
Carrot- 1/2 cup
Turmeric- ½ tablespoon
salt as per taste
After baking the oats on the pan, grind them in a mixer and make a powder. Put oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and pulses and stir.
When the lentils become golden brown, add grated carrots and coriander to it.
Add turmeric and fry for 1 minute and take it out and mix it with oats. Mix curd and prepare.
Put in idli mold and steam for 15 minutes. Give to children with coconut or coriander chutney.
