However- cut to 2025- that is exactly what ended up happening in London. Yes, as per a report by Barrett London, Indians have become the ‘largest group of property owners’ in London. Keeping in mind the not-so-pleasurable past of India and its history of being ruled over by Britain for almost a century, the report surely ended up giving the satisfaction of the next level to most desis. As per the report, which was also shared by the social media handle of the BRICS, the said group included ‘those who have lived in the UK for generations, NRIs, foreign investors, students, and families who come to the UK for education’. “Indians make up the largest group of property owners in London, represented by those who have lived in the UK for generations, NRIs, foreign investors, students, and families who come to the UK for education,” the report reportedly read. As soon as it began to float on social media, desis left no stone unturned with their hilarious takes that were full of jibes. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘BRICSinfo’.
