material to make
Butter- 2 tbsp
Asafoetida – 2 pinches
Moong dal- 1 cup yellow
Capsicum – 1/2
Green chilli-4-5
Onion- 1/2
Tomato- 1/2
Dry mango powder- 1/4 tbsp
salt as per taste
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
method of making
To make moong dal, first wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for about 4-5 hours.
After this, filter it with water and blend it in a blender.
Due to which a thick paste is formed. After this add water as per requirement.
Then blend again and prepare a medium consistency paste.
After this, take out this mixture in a bowl and add salt, asafoetida and dry mango powder in it.
Then add finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, green chilli and green coriander.
Now mix this batter well. After this, keep beating for a few minutes until the batter starts looking a little foamy.
Then heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan and now pour half of the batter in the pan.
After this, cook it well for a few minutes. Keep in mind that the pan should be small, so that the batter forms a thick layer.
Then flip it to the other side and cook until it becomes crispy. Similarly, prepare moonglets from the entire mixture.
Now your tasty moonglets are ready. Serve it hot with ketchup, tamarind chutney or mint chutney and enjoy.
